I got my start dropshipping in 2007, right after graduating college…

I knew I wanted to become an entrepreneur. And I thought that meant I would have to work 80+ hours a week if I hoped to retire by the time I was 40 and travel the world.

My first business venture started with me buying a cookie delivery route in NYC focusing on selling baked goods to coffee shops and grocery stores. Sure… it had TONS of potential. However, the New York City traffic quickly made me realize this business wasn't for me.


Started in 2007 with a $29 investment and built my first dropshipping store...


I wanted to bring in serious money, and this wouldn't do it. When a friend suggested I read The 4-Hour Workweek by Tim Ferris, I read it.

This book introduced me to eCommerce way back in 2007. This book had me thinking, “You know, let me try this, let me try to sell products online.”

Now back then when I was reading this book, there was only one chapter on eCommerce. But I built a dropshipping store, I set up Google AdWords, and I started to learn more and more by reading everything I could online. I even started to buy new books, and test new ideas with my store.

And within a few years, I had made over a million dollars in revenue.


Then in year three, that store hit $1.3M in sales...


In my first year I did over $300,000 in sales. My second year, over $600,000! Then, in my third year I hit the million dollar mark, and did $1.3 million in sales from my first dropshipping store.

I was making these sales back when I didn't know much  about anything. I just was willing to learn and be passionate about eCommerce.

As I learned more and more, I started to think maybe there are other people out there that I could connect with. There must be other drop shipping business owners that I can learn from.

Here's what happened next:
  • I turned my cookie delivery route into an online store.
  • ​My newfound success fueled my desire to learn more about eCommerce.
  • I went online to find mentors that I could learn from– what I found was shocking...
  • There were hardly any honest mentors in the eCommerce community. So, I became more involved...
Having already built successful businesses, I saw that most of these 'mentors' did not understand what they were talking about. Most were giving advice that was just dead wrong.

Most of these 'mentors' were just looking to sell their latest eBook or promoting 'free' private coaching. Sadly, many of their followers knew any better and no one ever called them out to tell them, "Hey! This Ain't Right!"

So that's what I started doing.

I started posting on those forums where I found all this outdated, nonsense information, saying, “This is wrong and here’s how to fix your drop shipping business.” I started sharing a better approach to finding products to drop ship. Even going as far as sharing a better approach for how to get suppliers and getting paid traffic.

Everything I was sharing was what I had learned myself over the years, mostly through trial and error.


I was a dropshipping authority before I knew it!


It wasn't long before people contacted me via email and Skype saying, "Anton… you obviously know what you're talking about! Can I pay you to coach me?" I'll admit at first, I said no. And I continued saying no, over and over.

It wasn't the lifestyle I had imagined… On the phone with people week after week, coaching them one-on-one on how to set up a successful eCommerce dropshipping store.

That was until I had a huge realization…

What if I took what I knew about building eCommerce businesses and I turned it into a series of helpful videos?


I decided to turn my method into a 7 Step Blueprint...


So, in 2012, I shared my tested and proven method. I called it the "7 Step Drop Ship Blueprint". I included everything from my method of finding high-ticket niches, securing 'gold-tier' suppliers and generating the right kind of traffic.

That was the moment Drop Ship Lifestyle was created and became a place for learning in an active community of entrepreneurs. In the years since I created Drop Ship Lifestyle, the community has grown to OVER 10,000 people from more than 30 countries!

Through the knowledge I gained over 10 years in the eCommerce industry, I began to write Drop Ship Secrets.

This isn't just my head knowledge book. This is a playbook of my experiences, methods, and resources that WORK.

Building a Successful Dropshipping Store…
After opening my first dropshipping store in 2007, I began my quest for gaining eCommerce and dropshipping knowledge. During this process of trial and error, I expanded my knowledge which led to me developing a seven step system to build successful eCommerce dropshipping stores.
These seven steps are crucial. Skipping even ONE can be the difference between success and failure…
  • Choose a Niche: Finding the specific set of products you will be selling
  • ​Research Future Competitors: It’s much easier than people think.
  • ​Create Your Store: Yes! This is done before you even have a supplier.
  •  Get Approved by Suppliers: You’ll show them your store and be approved.
  • Optimize Your Site for Conversions: Getting people to buy AND making more from each customer.
  •  Turn on Paid Traffic: The right technique focuses on bringing more buyers, not more TRAFFIC.
  •  Outsource and Automate Your Tasks: You will hand over tasks to other people and automate processes.
Anyone who has failed at dropshipping will read over my steps and know what they skipped. With my system, skipping a step or completing it out of order can be a make or break for a store.

This is about using a system...a method...that you know works, has worked for others, and will work for you for every eCommerce dropshipping store you open now, and in the future!
Instead of focusing on the process and steps you should follow, it is important to know the mistakes to AVOID. These can be costly, time-consuming, and end with the failure of your dropshipping store.
  • Mistake #1: Never Pay for Access to a Supplier…
  • Yes...there are a lot of these suppliers out there. They are one reason dropshipping got a bad reputation. These are not actual suppliers, they are middlemen making a profit on access fees.
  • ​Mistake #2: Working with Low-Quality Suppliers.
  • Mostly when you see "dropshipping" it is low-ticket products from China. It's another reason that dropshipping obtained a bad reputation. Reputable suppliers want to work with legitimate internet retailers (you). Do I ever suggest dropshipping using products from China? No!
  •  Mistake #3: Working with Suppliers who don't Enforce MAP Policies.
  • It is crucial you only work with suppliers who enforce MAP policies. MAP (Minimum Advertised Price) policies are put in place to ensure a MINIMUM that a product can be advertised for. Having these policies avoid any pricing wars from happening with competitors.
  • ​Mistake #4: Competing with Offline Retailers.
  • When researching future competitors, avoid companies that have physical stores. Why? Most likely they will have better pricing and be able to sell for less. People are also more likely to just go around town and buy the product rather than purchase it and wait for it to be delivered.
  •  Mistake #5: Buying a 'Turnkey' Dropshipping Store.
  • Sure...it sounds great. This mistake is one that people make far too often. These third party companies will make a bunch of claims that sound far too great. In reality, they're focused on making the seller profits, not you.
  •  Mistake #6: Setting Stuck on Niche Selection
  • Don't get me wrong...the niche selection process is by far the most important part to ensure your dropshipping stores success. However, don't get stuck on this. Use the method I show you in Drop Ship Secrets, and you'll confidently select a niche and move on to the next step in no time.
  •  Mistake #7: Dropshipping Low-Ticket Products.
  • Let me be clear. Selling a $10 phone case is just as easy as selling a $1,000 paddle board. Using the techniques I share in Drop Ship Secrets, you'll immediately understand why traffic sources are so important. To make $5,000 in sales… you only need to sell FIVE paddle boards... or 500 phone cases. See what I mean?
  •  Mistake #8: Not Creating a Demo Store to Show Suppliers.
  • If you were a supplier… would you trust a random person you had never met or spoken to before requesting to sell and represent your brand? Of course not! That is why having a demo store first is VITAL for getting approved by trusted and reputable suppliers.
